Alan Jax Bowers is a drummer/percussionist/producer and owner of Mudcut South Studios in Englewood Florida (formerly in Milford PA for over 16 years). He is currently touring and recording with his band Monallo, Jesse Rice from The Pirate Sessions fame, and with The Big Ska Band featuring Grammy award winners Joe Ferry with Corey Glover from Living Colour on vocals. AJB has spent many years playing with members of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band and Club Trini including 10 time CMA Musician Of The Year Mac McAnally, Michael Utley, Nadirah Shakoor, Robert Greenidge, Ralph MacDonald, Jim Mayer, Mick Utley, Brendan Mayer, Doyle Grisham, Tom Mitchel, Will Kimbrough, John Lovell, Greg “Fingers” Taylor, and Tina Gullickson. Alan has also shared the stage with Earth Wind and Fire, Kenny Rogers. Lonestar, American Idol’s Bo Bice, and Travis Tritt just to name a few. He has been playing drums since the age of ten and has studied with some great players like the late great Ralph MacDonald, Will Calhoun, Karl Latham, Frank Katz, and the staff at Drummers Collective in New York City. He toured the country with international tribute band Parrotbeach for close to 20 years toured and recorded with Marc Von Em from The Rob Thomas Band. He is also busy playing drums and/or percussion on sessions for clients all over the world. His musical journeys bring him to Key West and St Barth regularly, and Barbados, Hawaii, The Bahamas, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Virgin Atlantic Cruise Line, and beyond. Alan has shared recording credits with Leland Sklar, G Love, Nadirah Shakoor, Jim Mayer, Brent Mason, Rich Redmond, Kenny Aronoff, John Ginty, and Abe Fogle to name a few.
